Job Description : Contributions Manager
Reporting to the SVP Operations, the Contributions Manager provides leadership to the administration of the contributions processes and procedures and policies for clients, Charitable Donor Advised Fund (DAF) Sponsoring Organizations. The Contributions Manager leads a team of contributions processors onshore and offshore. The Contributions Manager maintains an up to date knowledge of charitable contributions statues for the countries within which Amicus operates and guides all contribution workflows, polices and processes.
Provide overall leadership and general management and supervision for the daily operations of the Contributions Team
Work closely and effectively with the SVP Operations to keep him/her well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.
Build the Contributions Team to include creating job descriptions, hiring and training. Ensure adequate staffing for both Giving Season and other times of year. Lead onboarding and continuous training and development of new and existing contributions team staff to include offshore teams.
Manage daily oversight of the Contributions Team ensuring that timely processing of transactions with accuracy.
Review, approve, and process contribution transactions that include, cash and cash equivalents, credit cards, securities and non-cash contributions.
Manage the process, people and business partners involved in complex gift acceptance. Establish policies, process, procedures, service standards and system support requirements for the complex asset acceptance process. Monitor and report on process compliance and effectiveness.
Participate in specialty assets acceptance process directly, handling inquiries, due diligence review and facilitation of transfer, acceptance and liquidation of approved contributions.
Establish and manage contributions Service Level Agreements with Charitable DAF Sponsor Organizations.
Responsible for interpreting, revising, and implementing process and procedures. Identify and recommend quality /process improvements for the Contributions Team supported by SOPs that facilitate operational efficiency of all contributions processed by the organization.
Utilize CRM Case Management system to monitor outstanding donor requests and to facilitate reporting.
Manage the budget for the Contributions Team
• 5-10+ years of experience in finance and/or philanthropy
• 5-10+ years of experience leading teams
• Bachelors Degree
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Previous donor advised fund experience is a plus
• Strong analytic and organizational skills required to research and resolve inquiries and to coordinate and manage conflicting
priorities, multiple projects and significant and varied workflow with excellent attention to detail
• Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, internal and external
customers and strategic partners
• Expert written and verbal communication skills
• Creative and enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, and results- driven
• Demonstrated ability to institute and adhere to applicable regulatory, risk management and compliance best practices and
