Job Description : Vice President , Pre-Sales

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales, the Vice President, Pre-Sales is a responsible for all pre-sales technical, operational and business consulting matters to support new customer onboarding and existing customer extensions to ELEVATE™ Platform services.  The VP of Pre-Sales provides leadership, is responsible and accountable for the creation, building, and ongoing management of a global direct Pre-Sales Organization, Channel Sales support, Alliances support, Pre-Sales Consulting, Pre-Sales Operations, and Pre-Sales Value Engineering teams.  The Vice President of Pre-Sales has P&L responsibility and is responsible for developing strategic pre-sales plans and meeting pre-sales targets based on the company goals.


The Vice President, Pre-Sales serves as a liaison to customer & charitable organizations worldwide. The Vice President Pre-Sales must be a self-starter, creative, and enjoy working within an early stage, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, and results-driven. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Vice President, Pre-Sales will have the ability to work independently on strategic initiatives, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

  • Ensures pre-sales plan objectives are consistently achieved and exceeded

  • Participates in the Amicus Revenue Strategy and execution thereof

  • Builds a proficient, best in class global Pre-Sales Organization

  • Actively contributes to the strategy and direction of the company, supporting the SVP of Sales

  • Consistently and effectively demonstrates ELEVATE™  Platform to prospects, customers, alliance partners and industry consultants

  • Manages business & technical content, sales material, and demonstration environments

  • Takes the responsibility to respond in a timely manner all incoming RFPs and RFIs

  • Provides strategic council to prospects and customers with regards to technical and operational questions

  • Ensures excellence in customer focus with all Amicus stakeholders

  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to create and manage a profitable pre-sales organization

  • Very strong entrepreneurial skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, customers, and external channel and alliance partners

  • Expert level written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability

  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently

  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required (BE and Masters preferred)

  • Python programing experience preferred

  • Strong work tenure: 7 years in corporate pre-sales selling as a direct contributor

  • Strong work tenure: 5 years of experience in the pre-sales management

  • Philanthropic industry experience preferred

  • Financial industry experience preferred
