Job Description : Senior Product Manager

Reporting to the CEO, the Senior Product Manager is a day-to-day hands-on product manager / owner for our products on our Elevate platform. We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented, and innovative Product Management professional to expand and refine our existing and new products for the financial sector and non-profit space. This is a classic, early stage opportunity that requires the ability to be strategic and operational, think big thoughts, while rolling up your sleeves to get things done. We are not just any fintech company – we are genuinely out to make the world a better place! For the right candidate this role longer term can evolve into the CPO. Responsibilities

​Help the company reach Product-Market fit by defining, executing and delivering a product roadmap that delivers value to our customers. Drive the product lifecycle process from ideation, problem validation, solution exploration, partnering with Engineering team in development and delivery. ​

  • Develop a deep understanding of the underlying needs; validate ideas through experiments, customer feedback and ruthlessly prioritize. Work closely with strategic customers and other key stakeholders to develop the product requirements.

  • Optimize the ideation process working with all stakeholders to validate ideas prior to inserting in the development backlog. Guide the design team(s) to validate solution designs prior to insertion in the development cycle.

  • Drive continuous improvement in maturity and excellence of the product lifecycle process.

  • Conduct thorough customer and commercial analysis helping to refine the product scope and offering.

  • Evaluate product performance metrics, user analytics, usage data, and market trends to refine Product Roadmap regularly (i.e. ensure adoption)

  • Establish a cadence of communication with all stakeholders, including Sales and Senior leadership team.

  • Ensure the Engineering team has a healthy product backlog that’s prioritized and mapped to the business plan.

  • Work very closely with the Engineering team(s) to ensure they understand the business requirement, customer need, and end-state product vision.

  • Prepare product positioning and assist in the creation of product marketing materials and launch events.

Requirements


  • 5 + years working in product management in the fintech industry

  • Proven track record as a product manager

  • Strong business savvy, financial acumen, and ability to understand complex business systems

  • Experience managing complex product development cycles and highly technical solutions, managing tradeoffs and evaluating opportunistic new ideas

  • Expert at uncovering the core issue when posed with a problem, using data and research.

  • Demonstrated track record of strong analytic and organizational skills required to coordinate and manage conflicting priorities, multiple projects and significant and varied workflow with excellent attention to detail

  • Experience creating workflow diagrams, wireframes, user flows, etc.

  • Experience using AGILE methodology. Familiarity with SCRUM and SDLC processes a plus.

  • Experience working with offshore engineering teams strongly desired

  • Demonstrated track record of working in a start-up and/or small, fast-paced environments, with little structure

  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, customers and internal and external stakeholders.

  • Expert written and verbal communication skills

  • Creative and enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, and results- driven

  • Demonstrated ability to institute and adhere to applicable regulatory, risk management and compliance best practices and requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience required; Master’s degree preferred

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Works in an office environment involving sitting most of the time at a desk in front of a computer. The worker is subject to close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and viewing a computer screen to read and enter data.

  • Travel Requirements – Less than 10% travel is required to perform the essential requirements for this role.
